SXFI Gaming Headphone

Today we ‘retaking a glance at the Best SXFI Gaming Headphone  Review gamer headset from creative labs the thing is don't actually want to review this headset until they emailed us with two big claims saying this can be the simplest microphone on any game a headset the commander pro microphone so let's test out if this actually sounds the most effective and versus my entire gaming headset collection and number two they claim it also has the simplest surround sound gaming experience using their holographic algorithm that maps out the ear and your head size and provides you a more personalized approach to surround sound audio that has been specifically tuned for eSports which to me is reasonably bizarre element within the first place because normally you do not enable surround sound for cage for battlefield for Call of Duty because that sometimes mutes out all the important elements whereas with creative they claim with the new battle mode it gives you the best directional and therefore the best positional awareness and also takes into account the space of audio cues so not only does it expand your environment but does it so accurately for eSports then that's why I'm excited to check out the SXFi Gamer. My experience testing their claims about this being the simplest microphone in school and their surround sound for eSports games alright let's check it out right after this what does it take to experience a compact high performance gaming notebook you wish specs that can meet the foremost demanding tasks sort of a fast CPU up to 32 gigabytes of RAM ultra-fast nave SSD and r-tx graphics you furthermore may want something that's lightweight and simple to hold around.

How a couple of robust optical mechanical keyboard with perky RGB lighting and a quick 144 Hertz IPS display this is often a new senior gaming notebook check it out. Any sound processing supported your motherboard based on your sound card as all the processing is finished on the headset the USB C cable here is reinforced Kevlar whatever that means I’m guessing it's pretty strong but it does channel a bunch of cable noise directly into the ear cup so you better not have this rub against your shirt or someplace else around or move an excessive amount of with the headset because all that movement are going to be audible since there's a USB C headset we've a USB a to use PC dongle which is pretty compact and presumably are attached to the actual cable once you travel or after you must re-plug it in if you do not have a type C cable available on your machine but there's no thanks to actually store this with the headset so i might recommend plugging it into the cable if you don’t want to lose this we even have a 3.5 million in beside the USB type-c so you'll use this headset in wired analog operation but after all you lose out on it beautiful RGB illumination I actually just like the consistency and uniformity of the illumination and they are going after the full spaceship-gamer e vibes without looking quite stupid note quality is OK no rattling anywhere even once you stretch out the headset to almost its maximum at 349 grams it isn't exactly lightweight and most of the padding is really on their cups so there leatherette really thick and nice soft memory foam like material unfortunately there's no padding inside the ear cup in order that means that you'll feel the plastic housing on the motive force right underneath just in case you rear makes contact.

I find it really interesting that their cups are removal yet no replacement velour pads are included with the package which normally include sort of a gaming headset at this price point but not here let their only but overall I'd say it's pretty good pair comfort wise and build quality wise also given the really thick ear cushions wearing glasses with the gamer absolutely no issues here while this is often a really low profile frame there is not any clamping anywhere it's nice all of your controls are on the left side with the sxfi button to enable surround sound mode on/off or enable battle mode we've a volume wheel that has no tactility whatsoever but volume adjustment is instantaneous which is great and that we have a mic mute button below the microphone after all irremovable and there's no attachable pop filter because that's built into the microphone itself and that I do appreciate the red LED indicating when the microphone is functioning when it's solid and when it's mute it does flash and red I also appreciate this LED indicator because it's to face your mouth in order to possess the simplest pickup because even the slightest like it's facing down the volume pickup for the microphone are completely different and you’ll sound way too distant and eventually you'll be able to change the illumination mode directly from the headset with the button above the microphone giving youth preset color that you just choose versus cycle and off for a touch added user experience there's an announcer voice built-in.

Once you change the SXFI modes you'll be able to hear what's being enabled or disabled and therefore the same thing with mic on or off alright so let's begin with the microphone test what you listening now is that the commander microphone by the SXFI Gamer first of all there is built-in site own something that's there by default you can't remove, you'll hear slightly yourself like it isn't completely muted which i would say may be a positive thing but normally you have got the choice to regulate the positioning tone volume and multiple other scenarios would USB headsets here you can't I will say I actually just like the implementation of the led when the microphone is functioning because otherwise like if I position the microphone slightly down where the LED is facing my mouth like my neck like even this would appear to be normal right but I sound plenty more distant than if I position the facing my lips as for noise suppression you guys can probably hear a bit of modulation in my volume because it's trying to suppress whatever is happening in the ambient environment which straight away is pretty quiet but if i used to be to try start typing you'll maybe hear a touch little bit of modulation that is happening with RTX voice i believe companies try to scramble to see who has the simplest solution in terms of like noise suppression but creative here’s trying to try and do is deliver a more balanced approach so it doesn’t completely isolate all the keystrokes for instance and like little banging and stuff around your environment but i feel it does a decent job as for the microphone quality let me know what you're thinking that how does it sound to your ears what I'm hearing is good bass pickup good clarity without me sounding nasally nor too muddy i would not necessarily say it's sort of a broadcast quality microphone but it's definitely getting up there next up is that the Sennheiser PC 37X this is my benchmark gaming microphone i believe it sounds fantastic it does have a bit more of that pop obtain although it's a built-in pop filter but it has great bass nice clarity great full body sound not as nasally as other gaming microphones and now let's take a look at the Logitech G Pro X and now we're listening to the G Pro X headset by Logitech so this one with the collaboration with Blue voice the software suite quite} powerful but the microphone.

I feel is not capable in delivering what the software can neutralize terms of fixing the different equalizer settings for the folk l pickup and it's quite standard let me know what you think that between the three which one sounded best two years and finally let's speak about the sound quality and whether or not the SXFI G gamer delivers on their initial claim of getting the simplest FPS sound mode battle mode when short what battle mode is it creates this virtual distance awareness that may provide you with a bonus in knowing exactly how far certain audio keys are coming from and that i think it's still a stereo reproduction but there’s some clever tweaking in here so the highs are boosted without it sounding crunchy while the super SXFI modes it creates a surround sound note virtual personalized multi-channel multi-directional recreation and to be honest I lowered my expectations when jumping into a game using battle mode then again I noticed after you disable it just what proportion better it is when battle mode is enabled for FPS games like Cod bf5 is go and shake off taro by default the pinnacle set is sort of neutral with plenty of power this can be USB powered in the end with a touch double beep after you reach maximum volume but good base nice clarity on the high end the mid-range isn’t pushed too far forward it is not too close either I would say it is a specific sounding pair for gaming by default and of course it’s really important to own that baseline covered before introducing any of the sound modes so let me discuss battle mode first because I feel it is kind of game-changing in battlefield 5 with it disabled the sport almost sounds flat although it's not it is a beautiful sound engine but when battle mode is enabled it's almost like applying contrast to a picture so the highs are amplified your directional awareness becomes most more apparent and like pinpointing exactly where footsteps are coming from and the way far they are and on what level they're so not only will we have vertical we have very good directional or distance measurement with battle mode enabled now jumping into cage I failed to find battle mode as useful there as I did with ba5just because cage I mean the sound engine is nice already by default in terms of having the ability to listen to things having the ability to position things within the map then you do not necessarily have to emphasize that anymore and after all I found it to kind of go the other way where it gave me less of pleasing audio then when battle mode is disabled however where I think battle mode is totally amazing is escape from taro so in this game you've got different headsets that your character can wear to amplify different frequencies of audio inside the sport so battle mode almost does that for you without the need to really wear the head that on your character in game so for EFT when battle mode is enabled I felt like I had a plus because the highs were boosted but not too sharp and this is not something that i have been able to recreate simply with EQ tweaking so I'm undecided what they're doing in their algorithm and ensuring they're feeding the source audio and here to recreate a very good positional like audio reproduction but it gave me full awareness of vertical distance and on satiny low map like Factory I had total awareness so where enemies were coming from as you'll be able to see by that game play and even once I went through to a bigger map like shoreline having a sniper that is shooting a kilometer away gave me that perfect distance measurement almost like.

I could sense they're really far while the sport by itself would also give you that but battle mode reasonably gives you a bonus in this sense where you do not should boost the quantity on the headphone simply enabling battle mode gives you better clarity without it sounding too harsh or like really sound mode which one I'm not entirely convinced as necessary just because there are many roadblocks along the thanks to get you to truly enjoy its first of all you would like to try to town load an app on your phone take picture of you rear and your face and it generates a more personalized all you experience when it involves surround sound you would like to then install an applications for the desktop sign into your super x5 profile and use that for the surround sound experience therefore the issues can begin from the start I encountered multiple crashes on my iPhone which normally doesn't happen and also whenever I try to download the sound profile SXFI through the desktop app it sometimes just wouldn't download it but when it finally does work it does expand your audience and it's one in all the higher surround sound modes that I’ve experienced still not pretty much as good as what son Heiser does with gsx 1000 but this is sort of a close second what's trying to do is recreate audio as if it was playing out of speakers ahead of you and in many situations that would be an enjoyable experience as an example if you do not want wearing headphones and having that just about closed sound.

Such as you don't hear the actual audio cues that you just would in stereo as an example the dialogue and Red Dead Redemption to only tone it a little bit off when SXFI was enabled while still allow me to expand the audio environment but i need to enjoy the important elements within the game and in stereo mode you'll be able to still enjoy the environment and its massive audio stage without SXFI alright so i believe its conclusion time and what creative have delivered here could be a headset that's trying to be soup ambitious and catering to the FPS market to the eSports market while introducing features that are normally like shunned upon and disregarded when it involves exactly that gamer style and that I think they've succeeded here with battle mode that I don't play without when it comes to shake off taro the microphone quality as you heard is reasonably broadcasting not exactly there and I think they need a small amount too of aggressive modulation and volume ensuring that you’re heard no matter how loud you speak it's pretty impressive to hear the difference between personalized and 6fi profile versus it not being there and I believe they're onto something, but it's gonna take lots of convincing for people.

Because, I have been not recommending surround sound in the least and now I'm quite flip-flopping back and that I still don't recommend it for everything but I mean battle mode may be a different thing but as satisfy it's reasonably cool for a specific genre of games but I would not necessarily buy this headset for that individual reason i believe creative is onto something here catering to the gaming community with something super unconventional and maybe more gaming audio brands should follow adding a touch little bit of flair to their gaming headsets so you'll be able to have a touch of a bonus you recognize it's like placing a digital cross hair from your monitor to offer you a plus in some titles it's reasonably the identical thing here almost like adding contrast to the audio environment so things that are important are audible and things that are not so important are muted within the background but i believe I'm done blabbering about this headset.
